FAQ

Q.Do I need to reindexing if I make changes to the schema?

A.

Depending on the nature of the changes, reindexing may be required. Below are examples of cases where reindexing is necessary.

  • If you change the field type. For example, changing a date field from string to pdate.
  • If you add a new field.
  • If you delete an existing field.
  • If you have synonym definitions in expansion type during indexing, and you change the synonym dictionary.

The above is just one example, and there may be other cases where reindexing is necessary. Additionally, depending on business requirements, reindexing may not be necessary even in the cases mentioned above. Therefore, it is recommended to carefully consider each case.
