Instance Management

• Create instances easily via the UI. You can craft an instance that suits your volume needs. As these are dedicated instances for clients, there's no need to worry about resource conflicts with other clients or security concerns.
• Deleting an instance (or terminating its contract) is straightforward from the UI. If it becomes unnecessary, you can delete it immediately.
• For the month when an instance is created, the billing is prorated. When deleted, the billing extends to the end of the month, ensuring you only pay for the duration you need.

Search Engine "Apache Solr"

• Apache Solr, an open-source search engine, is employed.
• All of Solr's functionalities and APIs are at your disposal. Access to Solr's management console is also available.
• Supports both standalone Solr configurations and SolrCloud configurations.
• With the adoption of Solr, you can benefit from its consistent performance and operation. Furthermore, it's possible to utilize its diverse search functionalities, enabling you to craft a search service tailored to your needs.
• The Solr community is rich in information, making it easier to learn and troubleshoot. This can help in reducing the cost of implementation and maintenance.

Solr Configuration and Operation via UI

• With KandaSearch's UI, various Solr configurations and operations can be carried out.
• Beyond starting and stopping Solr, it's also possible to manage collections, configure settings, handle files, and more. Additionally, tasks such as creating synonym dictionaries, backups, and restores, which can be cumbersome, can be executed through the UI.

Search from the UI

• You can easily conduct searches and verify the results directly from KandaSearch's UI.
• This feature is particularly useful for verifying post-indexing and designing search parameters. The search settings can be saved and later loaded, making it shareable with other team members.

Semantic Search

• Semantic search refers to a search functionality that understands and interprets the meaning of trendy search phrases (not just keywords, but also natural language expressions). KandaSearch includes a handy microservice for vector transformation to facilitate semantic search.
• It enables searches for documents that might not have been accurately captured by keyword searches, offering a range of applications.
