Create a user account

To use KandaSearch, user registration (account creation) is required.

Click on the 'SIGN UP' button displayed at the top right of the KandaSearch Website, then enter the following information and click 'CREATE ACCOUNT'.

  • Name(First name & Last name)
  • Username
  • Email
  • Password

After you have specified your email address, you will receive a confirmation email. Click on the 'Confir Email' link within the email to complete the user account creation process.

Login and Logout

Click on the 'LOGIN' button displayed at the top right of the KandaSearch Website, then enter your username and password, or log in to KandaSearch using social login with compatible social media accounts.

To log out, click on your own avatar displayed at the top right of the KandaSearch management console, then select 'Logout' from the popup menu that appears.

Profile Settings

When you click on your own avatar displayed at the top right of the KandaSearch management console and select 'Profile' from the popup menu, you can edit the following items:

  • Language (Japanese or English)
  • Display Name (Username or Full Name)
  • Timezone
  • Avatar image
  • Full Name (First Name & Last Name)
  • Email
  • Newsletter Preferences
  • Reset Password

Two-Factor Authentication

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Click on your own avatar displayed at the top right of the KandaSearch management console and select 'Account Settings' from the popup menu that appears.

When you click 'ENABLE' on the 'Two-Factor Authentication' item, you will proceed to the two-factor authentication setup screen. Follow the on-screen instructions and install one of the following apps on your smartphone.

  • FreeOTP
  • Google Authenticator

In the installed app, scan the QR code displayed on the KandaSearch management console and enter the displayed six-digit one-time passcode into the KandaSearch management console, then click 'SUBMIT'.

Disable Two-Factor Authentication

Click on your own avatar displayed at the top right of the KandaSearch management console and select 'Account Settings' from the popup menu that appears.

Clicking 'DISABLE' on the 'Two-Factor Authentication' item will immediately deactivate two-factor authentication.

Activating and Deactivating Social Logins

Click on your own avatar displayed at the top right of the KandaSearch management console and select 'Account Settings' from the popup menu that appears.

Under the 'Social Providers Login' section, you will see the available social media platforms for linking. Click on 'Activate' or 'Deactivate' as appropriate to select or deselect the social login integration destination.

Deleting User Account

To delete your user account, first remove membership from all projects you are associated with.

Then, click on your own avatar displayed at the top right of the KandaSearch management console and select 'Account Settings' from the popup menu that appears.

Choose 'DELETE ACCOUNT' from the 'Account Deletion' section and proceed with account deletion.
